01

Tell Us Where The Vehicle Is

Send the road name, postcode, nearby landmark or exact location. This could be a roadside, home address, workplace, car park, garage, storage site or another collection point.

02

Share The Vehicle Details

Let us know if it is a car, van, motorcycle or electric vehicle. It also helps to know if the vehicle starts, rolls, has accident damage, is locked, has a flat battery or cannot be moved normally.

03

Choose Where It Needs To Go

Tell us the destination, such as a garage, home address, repair centre, storage site, buyer, seller or another UK address. We can help with local recovery and longer-distance vehicle transport.

04

Receive A Clear Recovery Quote

We will price the job based on the vehicle, collection point, destination, access and the type of recovery needed. You will know the cost before the vehicle is moved.

05

Safe Collection And Transport

Once confirmed, the vehicle is collected, loaded carefully and transported to the agreed destination. Our focus is safe vehicle movement, not complex roadside repairs.

Breakdown Recovery FAQs

Useful answers about what happens during a breakdown, how payment works, what to do before recovery arrives and what happens when we collect your vehicle.

What should I do first if my vehicle breaks down?

The first step is to keep yourself and any passengers safe. If possible, move the vehicle away from traffic, switch on your hazard lights and stand in a safe place away from the road. If you are on a motorway or fast road, do not stand between the vehicle and moving traffic.

Once you are safe, call 07934 740966 and tell us where you are, what has happened and where the vehicle needs to go.

What information should I have ready when I call?

It helps to have your exact location, vehicle make and model, vehicle registration, the problem you are having and the address you want the vehicle taken to. If you are not sure of the road name, a postcode, nearby shop, landmark or live location can help.

You should also mention anything that may affect loading, such as a locked vehicle, flat tyres, accident damage, a tight car park, a steep driveway or if the vehicle cannot roll.

How is payment handled?

The recovery price is confirmed before the vehicle is moved, so you know the cost upfront. The price depends on your location, vehicle type, access, distance and the destination.

Payment details can be confirmed when the recovery is arranged. If someone else is paying for the recovery, please tell us before collection so this can be agreed clearly.

Do I need to pay before the vehicle is collected?

This can depend on the job, distance and type of recovery. For some recoveries, payment may be required before collection or before the vehicle is released at the destination. We will explain this clearly when giving your quote.

The important thing is that the price and payment arrangement are agreed before the recovery starts.

What should I do while waiting for recovery to arrive?

Stay somewhere safe and keep your phone nearby in case the driver needs to contact you. If you are on a busy road, motorway, junction or dark road, stay away from the vehicle if it is safer to do so.

If the vehicle is in a car park, at home or at work, make sure there is as much access as possible. Move other vehicles or obstacles if you can do so safely.

What happens when the recovery driver arrives?

The driver will check the vehicle position, access and destination before loading. They may ask you to confirm the issue, where the vehicle is going and if there are any special instructions, such as keys being left with a garage or delivery to a specific contact.

If the vehicle cannot roll, is damaged or is in a difficult position, the driver will assess the safest way to move it before loading.

Do I need to stay with the vehicle?

In many cases, it is helpful if you or someone you trust is with the vehicle when the recovery driver arrives, especially if keys need to be handed over or access needs to be explained.

If you cannot stay with the vehicle, let us know before recovery is arranged. We may still be able to help if the keys, access and destination details are clearly agreed.

Can I travel with the recovery driver?

This depends on the recovery vehicle, availability and the situation at the time. If you need transport with the vehicle, mention this when requesting the quote so it can be checked before the job is confirmed.

What if my vehicle is in a dangerous location?

If the vehicle is in a dangerous location, your safety comes first. Move away from traffic if you can, use hazard lights if safe, and call emergency services if the vehicle is causing an immediate danger or there has been an accident with injury.

Once it is safe to arrange recovery, contact us with your location and details of the situation.

What happens after my vehicle is delivered?

The vehicle will be taken to the agreed destination, such as a garage, home address, storage site, buyer, seller or repair centre. If the vehicle is going to a garage, make sure they know it is arriving and confirm where the keys should be left.

If the destination changes after recovery has been arranged, tell us as soon as possible because it may affect the price and journey time.
